What are Self-Love Rituals?

Self-Love rituals are serious tasks comprising of a series of activities performed for self-dedication and gratification for one-self.

Using self-love rituals on a regular basis, added as a habit in your life, will help maintenance of mind, body and soul.

Many of these self-love rituals is spending time with yourself.  This is time you should set aside and center around you..  Booking 'you' time is one of the key self-love movements. These rituals are an incredible method to assist you with doing this. How you translate them and make them your own will rely upon your way of life, circumstance and inclinations.

Here is a list of rituals that I have had the pleasure incorporating in my self-love journey.


On my spa day, I start with a pristine clean bathroom. Aromatherapy is a great addition to a spa environment. I light all-natural candles with aroma or have tea light candles and an essential oils diffuser. For ambiance I have easy listening, or soft jazz music playing. I prefer music without words so I can focus on my thoughts. While waiting for my bath to fill, which I added all-natural products to the water, I place a face mask on and wrap my hair. As I soak in the tub, I think of the progress I have made throughout the week and everything I love about my life. As I wash my body, I praise my body parts for its beauty and strength. Sometimes prior to my bath I apply a yoni steam when needed to remove the stress from that area.  After my bath I put on my favorite robe and drink a glass of cucumber, lemon, strawberry, aloe water. Plan to do nothing

Sometimes you may want to lounge around your home and do nothing special. Maybe streaming a comedy while you sit in your pajamas is what you feel is best after a full week of accomplishments. Or maybe you want to lay in bed reading your favorite fictional book until your eyes burn. What ever it is, you deserve it because you have put your best foot forward and a down time is a great reward. Recommended Books.

Surround yourself with nature.

Taking a hike is great addition to a self-love ritual. Immersing yourself in nature, or seeing scenes of nature, diminishes outrage, dread, and stress and increases pleasant emotions. Introduction to nature not just makes you feel better inwardly, it adds to your physical success, decreasing circulatory strain, pulse, muscle pressure, and the creation of stress hormones. Buy fresh flowers and add them to your home weekly, you will be pleasantly surprised how it will brighten your day.

Journal with Gratitude

Journaling is another excellent addition to your self-love ritual.  In your journal you could write about what you appreciate about yourself. Or maybe you can write about what you have accomplished and what goals you have completed.  You can also write about things you didn’t do so well that week and how your plan to fix it if need to. Having your journal to read is as great as reading any self-improvement book. Here are journals you can begin with.

Self-Love Food Prep

Preparing your food with purpose is healthy self-love. When prepping your food for that day or future day, think of the ingredients and its benefits to you and your family.  I like to prep my meals a week at a time. That leaves me time during the week to do other things and I do not like cooking every day.  I prefer to cook my own meals than to find myself at a fast food restaurant because I did not plan my meals ahead of time. When food prepping a choose a day to cook and store my meals for the week ahead. While prepping my meals I sometimes listen to a self-development audio book, I may listen to my prerecorded self-love affirmations. If my children are helping me with the prepping, I will listen to them tell me about their week or tell funny stories that we make up at that moment.
